Structural static testing of buildings involves verifying the correct design and execution of structures during construction. Studio A. Ferraresi – AF Engineering provides this service either independently or as a complement to integrated design or construction management services, within both new-build projects and the refurbishment of existing buildings.
Structural testing assesses the structural adequacy of a building or work and certifies its fitness for use. The final step is the issuance of the Structural Testing Certificate, without which the building cannot be put into operation.
The structural testing engineer is a legally regulated professional role with clearly defined responsibilities, as it involves supervising the outcome of the work carried out by the various parties involved in the execution of structural works: the structural designer, the construction manager for the structural works, and the construction contractor. Studio A. Ferraresi – AF Engineering team includes a qualified structural testing engineer in the person of Engineer Andrea Ferraresi, as well as a trusted network of external collaborators. Both carry out periodic inspection visits throughout the entire construction phase in order to examine the works, verify materials, and perform the required load tests under operating conditions.
